- Monster hugs -

When I made my "monster cards" in August, I had made some more monsters and with these I have now made another card. I used various stamps and dies from My Favourite Things. For the background I used the stamp set "Distressed Patterns", the stitched oval is from the "Die-namics Stitched Ovals STAX" and the "Hugs" in the sentiment is part of a sentiment from the stamp set "Happy Hedgehogs". The monsters are from the set "Monster love", I used the matching dies to punch them out and I put them with dimensionals on top of the sentiment:

Stempel/stamps: My Favourite Things
Stempelkissen/ink pad: Versafine "Onyx Black", SU
Stanzformen/dies: My Favourite Things
Sonstiges/Other: Cardstock, Abstandspads/dimensionals

With this card I participate in the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 300. D

- Cool day -

Besides fall I also love winter. When it's cold outside, I love sitting on the couch, reading a good book and drinking a cup of coffee or tea. As it was - compared to the last few weeks - rather cool over the week-end, I decided to make a winterly card using stamps, dies and a stencil from My Favourite Things.

For the big snowflake I used water color paper which I colored with distress ink "Tumbled Glass". For the snowflakes in the background I used the MFT stencil "Snowfall" and Wendi Vecchi embossing paste. Once the flakes were dry, I put some "glitter" on them using the Wink of Stella "Clear". I did the same on the snowflake, the snow on the signpost as well as on the "snow" on which the polar bear is standing. However, this unfortunately does not show on the picture, but on the real card you can actually see that fine shimmer.
I stamped the little snowflake on the cup and in the middle of that snowflake I put a very little rhinestone.
I used dimensionals to fix the frame, the polar bear, the snowflake and the signpost on the card.

Stamps: MFT "BB Cool Day"
Ink pad: Versafine "Onyx Black", SU "Real Red", Distress ink "Tumbled Glass"
Coloration: Various Distress ink pads
Dies: MFT "Die-namics Let it Snowflake", Die-namics "Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX"
Stencil: MFT Stencil "Snowfall"
Other: Cardstock, water color paper, Studio 490 Wendi Vecchi Embossing paste white, Dimensionals, Wink of Stella "Clear", rhinestone

This card is my second entry to the "2016 Card Design Superstar Card Contest" of My Favourite Things

- Hedgehogs in the birch forest -

Fall is approaching and I very much love that season because it's (usually) not as hot as in summer (I don't like the heat) and most of all because I love when the colors of the leaves turn into deep orange and red, that looks just so beautiful.

I also love hedgehogs and therefore I made a card combining the cute "BB Happy Hedgehogs" from MFT stamps with those beautiful colors of fall.

For my card I created a die cut inlay background, a technique for which I found the description in this post. It was my first attempt in this technique and I'm quite satisfied with the result. I used the distress ink pads "mustard seed", "wild honey", "rusty hinge" and "ripe persimmon" to get that bright background. I cut out the hedgehogs and the mushrooms and fixed them with dimensionals on the card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I stamped it on the smallest of the stitched die-namics ovals.

Stamps: MFT "Happy Hedgehogs"
Dies: MFT "Die-namics Birch Trees", MFT "Die-namics Stitched Oval STAX"
Ink pads: Versafine "Onyx Black", various distress ink pads (see above)
Coloration: Distress ink pads
Other: water color paper, cardstock, dimensionals

With this card I participate in the "2016 Card Design Superstar Card Contest" of MFT stamps.

There is a HUGE prize to win: a $250 gift voucher from My Favourite Things! That is, of course, very tempting, but above all it was great fun for me to make this card. I just love those cute hedgehogs.

I never participated in MFT's card contest before, but I think there is a first time to everything, isn't it?

- Happy Hedgehogs -

Stempel: My Favourite Things
Stempelkissen: Versafine "Onyx Black" und SU "Wildleder"
Coloration: Distress Ink Pads
Stanzform: Technique Tuesday
Sonstiges: Aquarellpapier, Cardstock, Stanzherzen

Stempel: My Favourite Things
Stempelkissen: Versafine "Onyx Black"
Coloration: Distress Ink Pads
Sonstiges: Cardstock

Stempel: Purple Onion Designs, Clearly Besotted Stamps
Stempelkissen: Versafine "Onyx Black"
Coloration: Distress Ink
Stanzform: Technique Tuesday Dies "Flair Maker"
Sonstiges: Aquarellpapier, Cardstock, Stanzherzen

Stempel: Purple Onion Designs, Woodware, Papertrey Ink
Stempelkissen: Versafine "Onyx Black"
Coloration: Distress Ink Pads
Stanzform: C.C. Designs "Baggie and Tag Die"
Sonstiges: Aquarellpapier, Packpapier, Stanzherzen
